The expansion and rebrand of Harrah's Resort Southern California culminates the creation of a bold new resort experience. The highlight of the $160 million multi-phase expansion was the debut of its highly anticipated 403-room hotel tower, completing the astounding 1.2 million square foot all-season gaming resort. The addition of the 21-story Resort Tower brings Harrah's Resort to a total of 1,065 rooms, making it the fourth largest hotel property in the United States.
The resort renovation also involved the expansion and enhancement of existing amenities including casino and gaming rooms, spa facilities, dining outlets and three pools complete with swim-up bar and a 400-ft Lazy River.
Looking to create an environment that celebrated the lifestyle and landscape of Southern California, Harrah’s invited local artists and designers to add the finishing touches.
Encinitas based artist, Michael “Monstrinho” Amorillo, was the first artist chosen for Harrah’s outdoor mural project. Michael's New York City roots mixed with his Southern-California lifestyle offers a fresh and fun approach to graffiti art, blending a unique style of larger-than-life ocean themes and characters that bring out the youthfulness in all of us.
