Peek-A-Boo Friends at Miami Children's
As part of Miami Children’s commitment to enhancing service convenience for South Florida families, the hospital has developed several outpatient centers featuring select pediatric services.
The Miami Art Project has partnered with Miami Children’s Miramar Outpatient Center to enhance the patient experience with playful décor designed to whisk children away on fun jungle safaris during their visits to its examination rooms.
"Oi, Hola, Hello" by Michael Amorillo
Artist, volunteer and advocate of the arts education, Michael “Monstrinho” Amorillo created the limited edition lithograph “Oi, Hola, Hello” to raise money to support the art education program at the Miami Children’s Hospital Dan Marino Outpatient Center.
The Miami Children’s Hospital Dan Marino Outpatient Center manages a specialized camp for eight weeks every summer. “Camp DMC” specializes in the care of children with autism, Asperger’s syndrome, Down syndrome and other neurodevelopmental and psychological conditions. The objective of Camp DMC is to provide a fun-filled, educational and therapeutic curriculum while enhancing each child’s academic skills, functional communication, fine and gross motor skills. The Educational curriculum includes reading, math, science, art, physical education, and social skills training.
Proceeds from the sale of “Oi, Hola, Hello” funded the purchase of paint brushes, paints, canvases, pencils, crayons and other art supplies needed to support the “Camp DMC” art program.
